The construction of Bukasa Port has started with land reclamation.

Rose Mary Tibiwa, the commissioner for transport infrastructure services in the Ministry of Works and Transport said when completed Bukasa will be the only port country as  port bell and jinja are mere piers.

URA participated in the recently concluded Mbarara City Traders’ Symposium, where it engaged traders on several issues, including customs processes and the Electronic Fiscal Receipting and Invoicing Solution (EFRIS), among others.

The URA Commissioner General has called upon the early adopters of the Electronic Fiscal Receipting and Invoicing Solution (EFRIS) to support their counterparts who are still facing challenges to enable EFRIS fully take off.

The Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) is hosting Partner States from the East African Community (EAC) to develop harmonised procedures for calibration and verification of road tankers, to facilitate trade.
